glad of his gay role comments

"It's so cool. I don't see what all the fuss is about playing gay characters. When I did Y Tu Mama Tambien, I was asked, 'Don't you worry about what people will say to you in the street?' It seemed like it was such a huge deal.

"Why would it be an issue for me? I think it is a very American thing. In Mexico, no one has given me any s**t for playing gay roles, for playing a transvestite, whatever. They don't confuse the actor with the role. I mean, they don't think Al Pacino's a cop!"

im so glad that a straight actor has FINALLY stood by his gay characters and not tried to distance himself from homosexuality by saying "it was the most awful thing i've ever had to do".
its refreshing that a mans comfortable enough with his own sexuality that he can stand by his characters and is not shamed to be linked with homosexuality.

"they should give nicole kidman an oscar for being able to show any emotion after THAT much botox".

well, it's largely the questions they're asked - look at what james franco had to out up with while promoting milk. he even spoke out about it in the end.

and i agree with preppy-3: ledger comments really bugged me while gyllenhaal seemed cool and yet ian mckellen singled out jake as a bad example!! that really got to me.

*You're not listening to me. There are other things that need to be taken into account here* preppy-3
