I'm not trying to troll, it just occurred to me. I saw him on The Vampire Diaries and I couldn't figure out what wasn't working for me about his performance. His speaking voice is so nasal and puny. Sometimes you forget how important that is. Actors aren't just face and body. They're voice, too. He's got a very masculine presence and a nerdy little voice to match.
