Tragic end to major child star
I saw a few of his films as a kid including Song of the South (I think a great Disney film, but has been censored by the woke crowd). He ended uphomeless in NYC and buried in a potters field. That sucks.

shareHe was excellent in The Window and a Disney icon of the ‘50s. Yes, of the many sad life stories of Hollywood child stars over the years, Driscoll’s is one of the most tragic.
shareAccording to a pretty decent documentary on YouTube, his last years was spent with Andy Warhol at his Factory. He also wanted Truman Capote to write his biography, but it never happened. A few friends also stated he was into guns as well. He had 3 kids, one son spoke in the documentary. One of his wives also suffered from mental illness. It was also mentioned he was abused by his parents. Poor guy.
shareI saw "The Window" a few months ago and went to his Wikipedia page afterward. I was shocked to see what happened to him. Tragic.
shareI think A.J. Benza did a Mysteries & Scandals on Driscoll. I also read somewhere he got into drugs so bad his teeth were falling out. Eventually somebody contacted Disney to track him down, it took awhile but they found out his body had been found in a drug den and buried somewhere near New York(I think).
shareHard to believe he was the first male actor to portray Peter Pan.
shareit says he did 9 movies in 3 years then howard hughes & disney dropped him when he hit adolescence. also says his mother didn't know he was deceased until 2 years after, she was putting out missing person ads in Newyork newspapers
shareThat is sad and tragic the way Disney treated him, but many former child stars faced that sadly.
