Matt's grandfather died 27 Aug 2016

Aw, so sad. Thanks for posting this, Andrew. Yes, bad timing, indeed.

Matt just recently stated these grandparents were his role models on living a happy married life.
He got to watch tv at their house as a kid which apparently was not always the case at home.
I hope he got to go to the service this past weekend.

A week before his granddad died, he stated that his grandparents, married for 68 yrs., were his role models for a happily married life. Would assume he's been in Texas for his grandmother and to attend services. It would explain not responding to this unhappy trans woman. So sad.

Poor Matt. These Twitter attacks couldn't have come at a worse time. While we may all be somewhat prepared for the death of grandparents given their age, its never easy to actually go through it when it happens. Death is always devastating. I hope him and his family are doing OK coping with the loss.

But things are now calming down, and i'm sure he can't wait to talk about his other projects.

We are so sad for Matt.We are some fans of Matt and we want to let leave a message of support but would not it be displaced?
Knowing Matt victim of this persecution we tears the heart and we are powerless.

I wish there was some way to send condolences as well. I've looked on Mattbomerfan and MBItalia, they are pretty good sites when it comes to giving info for fans. I haven't seen anything yet. Maybe someone else here on the board, can tell you if there is any organized effort to reach out to Matt by his fans.
