While it's laudable for Matt to lend his name to emerging talent amongst filmmaker's'....
Chris Pratt... I just don't get that at all. Alicia... talented but also she has a fresh unique look that you don't see everyday and I think that is an automatic head start for her.
And that possibly lends a clue to the problem for Matt. As rare as his perfection is, perhaps the state of his looks embodying the American idea of the classic male specimen so completely really *is* a detriment role-wise. If people are always looking for the next rarity, he would be the opposite of that.
Though I adore him in whatever way he presents himself, I do think his almost constant metrosexual image on-, and especially off-, screen does work against him. I truly think it would help if he mixed it up between roles. Let his hair grow instead of always sporting Ken's expertly placed locks. Dress down more often. Look rough once in a while.
