Piss off Elizabeth Banks!

I really used to like her. Loved her in Scrubs and Zack and Miri. She was great. Now, in 2019's society, and now that her movie just bombed...it must be because of sexism, right? Well according to Banks it is. She's become so up her own ass with stuff like this that I can't even stand the sight of her anymore.

Take some damn responsibility for your shitty movie. Maybe your next feminist movie won't suck so much that you have to, of course, blame men for it failing. The lack of logic with these "woke" people is astounding, and they can't even speak without generalizing a whole group of people, which is beyond hypocritical. Say this out loud...you're blaming your feminist (target audience...female???) movie's failure on men (not the general target audience for a self proclaimed feminist movie). This is marketing 101.

I'm sick of all of them. It's gotten beyond the point of lunacy.

The box office for the Cameron Diaz Charlie's Angels was great and it got a sequel (I love those movies, btw). She should be blaming women for not wanting to see her movie. There are two genders, after all. My daughter and her friend went and saw it. Why didn't any other women?

A huge reason I as a man didn't see it? Look at who she cast as her angels:

I mean, they look like girls you see at the mall. I don't see a Farrah Fawcett or Jacqueline Bisset there. She even made Charlie a girl. She was clearly looking to focus on the female audience and men be damned. I bet there were many boyfriends who refused to go see it with their girlfriends.

I'd watch it just for Kristen Stewart.

Signed, million man.

reply

The marketing, or lack thereof, should be blamed for this bombing. I literally never knew about it until yesterday.

reply

I didn't see it, partially because the only actress I've even heard of is Kristen Stewart, and she's no box office draw. The 2000 version of Charlie's Angels had three actresses who were coming off of huge smashes: Diaz in There's Something About Mary, Barrymore in The Wedding Singer, and Liu in Tomorrow Never Dies. This Ella Balinska I've never heard of, and she's never done anything anyone's heard of.

reply

Michelle Yeoh was in Tomorrow Never Dies, not Lucy Liu... ;)

reply

Lol oh shoot. Thanks!

reply

Yeah, Lucy Liu was making headway in Ally McBeal at the time.

reply

It was like that a long time ago.

reply

Take some damn responsibility....woman.... LOL. Good one.

reply

exactly, if your movie is a feminist fuck-fest and with a sprinkle of wokeness.... why blame men for the failure?

it's your own people, the target audience, that didn't support you !

reply

very similar to the wnba and it's players. asking for the same amount of money nba players make despite not having the audience and then blaming it on men.

reply

agreed 100%

reply

She had to come up with something or someone to blame. It couldn't be that the movie was crap. Could it?
