elton for me

reply

I like both, but I do enjoy hearing Eltons version more, if not for the fact that I haven't heard it 100 times.

reply

Elton made it more of a rock song.

Too similar to make a judgement in my opinion.

The greatest Beatle's cover is Joe Cocker's version of little help from my friends.

I don't think they're similar at all. Elton definitely makes it his own.

And don't forget the backing vocals & 'reggae guitars' of Dr Winston O'Boogie!! (aka Lennon himself!)

Both are equally good.....in their own unique way.

Cocker does make that song his own. Lots of people prefer the Woodstock version but here's my favorite:

Yes. I hate The Beatles. 😀

no way

reply

Never been much of a Beatles fan (other than Sgt Pepper, which I own). Elton's, all the way.

reply

John Lennon played on Elton's version.

He was listed in the liner notes as Dr. Winston O'Boogie.

I like both versions but prefer the Beatles.

reply

I truly like the Beatles (John Lennon's) version slightly better than Elton's cover.
