Well I'll see if I can rectify that situation, hownos.

I've been a fan of Tom Waits ever since he released his fourth album, Small Change, back in 1976.
That being said, I believe that Blue Valentine is his best album.

I also love some of his sayings, such as, "There ain't no Devil, there's just God when he's drunk."
Obviously, Waits did have a pretty severe drinking problem.

Closing time is a good album before he became the “persona”. Mule variations is a good one for after. Then you can dive in after that
