I really hope that "Old Fink" rumor is true and he starts making good movies again. He was one of the best new actors in the '90s, started off the '00s good with O Brother Where Art Thou, but seriously, what happened? He went from doing movies like Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink, Quiz Show, The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou, etc., to doing Transformers, Mr. Deeds, and a beer commercial? He's incredibly talented, but what happened? Nobody had a use for him anymore?

Funny how the wannabe cool types on the net will go and say that Johnny Depp sold out to Disney and that just because of the media hyping him "he's the most overrated star EVAHHHH", but will say nothing about Alan Rickman tied up in Harry Potter for presumably the rest of his life and John going from Oh Brother to Transformers and Zohan. Don't take this as me hating on both because I like them, but for others they should at least be consistent with the "cool" type of criticism that plagues the net

You named a lot of commercial films, but not Secret Window, where he was great.

I think he is one of few actors who makes a bad movies tolerable. I want to see Transformers because of him. His great acting offsets Megans Fox's bad acting.

He's always brilliant my faves are "Five Corners", Quiz Show and Millers Crossing
to name s few. But I agree. What happened?

I've only seen a few films of his and though I always enjoy seeing him on screen I never knew how goo he could act until I saw "O brother, where art thou?" I would love to see him in more serious roles though, maybe if he had a better agent?

secret window was a bad movie anyway. that kind of twist is so overused ;/
