Everything that is wrong with movies.

I discussed this with my girlfriend recently. The biggest problem with Hollywood these days is Stanley Tucci...and the fact that he is not in NEARLY enough movies. I can not name a movie that was not made better by his presence alone. Burlesque was a tolerable movie, but he was fantastic in each of his appearances. Easy A was a damn fine movie as it was, but adding Mr. Tucci just turned it up to 11. There is just not enough Stanley Tucci in movies.

No matter how good a movie is (I'm talking of the movies he's not in), I always find fault that there was not enough Stanley Tucci. There is never enough Stanley Tucci. The fact that he was not won a single Academy Award shows the influence of the Illuminati. And the reason for their interference is obvious: Jealousy.

Keep turning it up to 11, Mr. Tucci.

Know that, thank you, next question.
The Nameless Guy.

@Eyebrows - Agree wholeheartedly. But his is one of several terrific performances in this underseen and underappreciated little "Big" movie.

I wonder how many people knew what Tony Shalhoub was capable of prior to seeing this film. Now that his eight-year run on the less-than-stellar "Monk" has finally ended, I hope we get to see him flex his thespian might in a lot more character roles.

Also definitely worth noting in BIG NIGHT are Isabella Rossellini, Minnie Driver, Campbell Scott, Allison Janney and, of course, one of the great unsung actors of modern film, Ian Holm as the rival restauranteur. I've always felt Holm should've won the Oscar for best actor in 1997 for THE SWEET HEREAFTER, but he wasn't even nominated.
