He's innocent and didn't kill Nicole or Ron

But obviously someone else did. So WHY? is the state of California not looking for the killer and just have it as a closed case?

Yes, we know that O.J. really did do it, but as far as the law is concerned, he didn't....so if he didn't do it, then someone else did do it. So why THE F#($K are they not looking for the killer and letting him or her get away scott free?

I think we are basically in agreement. The blood evidence was subject to two interpretations each of which fit the basic facts. This raised enough doubt for the jury to have a reasonable doubt.

As for the civil trial, I recall the judge was excluding exculpatory evidence and letting in questionable things that were highly prejudicial. It really looked like he was trying to compensate for the not guilty verdict in the criminal trial. But I do not recall the details and am going to revisit that trial to see if that impression holds up.

A lot depends on our faith in the objectivity and honesty of the police. The widespread framing of suspects revealed by Ramparts scandal does not reflect well on the LAPD.
