If Nicole's mother hadn't left her glasses at the restaurant, Ron would still be alive. Unless of course Ron was going to show up there anyway. I don't think anyone is really sure exactly what Nicole and Ron's relationship was like - if they were dating or not. How did they meet anyway?
shareI've always wondered that too about Judy, if she feels guilty at all. Ron and Nicole were friends who met at a local gym, but from what everybody says, it sounds like they were just friends and nothing more. Ron may have had a crush on Nicole or vice versa, but I think people want to make it out to be more than it was.

I think it's quite obvious that they planned a romantic evening together.

shareThe forgotten glasses was a ruse. Ron was going to be going to Nicole's place either way because they were dating. Pretending to forget the glasses was a way for Nicole to get some nookie while her boyfriend stayed on the clock at work.
Well, yeah, I would like to ask her about that and mention that to the Goldmans. I'd love to ask her, "If they were so important, why didn't you get your ass back there and get them?" I guess she was too far away to do that and it was easier for Nicole to find out. As to Ron, he was just trying to be nice and return them. That was his nature. I don't think they were lovers, but friends. I think they met because they went to the same gym.
