This guy really irritates me.
I liked him in Princess Bride, but ever since then his uber-sincerity just really gets on my pecks. And if I have to hear him sing again, I am really going to toss my cookies.

shareYOU really irritate me :)
shareHe sings appallingly badly. No doubt affithionados consider his mannered affectations clever.
shareThats your opinion , fair enough me on the other hand think he has an Amazing voice and find him as an Actor very intriguing
shareROFL!! I'm a fan of Patinkin, but I can totally see how he could be irritating to other people. :o) (I actually found him rather annoying in The Princess Bride, but then again, I found the whole movie annoying!)
shareI second that XD
shareInconceivable!!
shareYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. :D
I probably should hear Mandy sing more before I come to any judgement on his singing abilities, though. The only time I've heard him sing is in the "Netherlands" episode of Touched by an Angel, when he (as Lucifer) was singing to Roma Downey (as Monica) and trying to coax her into Falling from Heaven. His voice does seem to have an unusual tenor and tremble to it, which listeners could prize for its uniqueness. The song itself was a pretty strong piece, and Mandy's gentle voice did complement the song and the character well, given the popular view of Lucifer being a tempter and a corruptor with a subtle voice and a friendly smile.
I'll have to listen to his other songs, though. What are some other good Mandy Patinkin pieces?
Hello! It makes me happy to see someone else who enjoys Mandy Patinkin as much as I do :) If you would like to, visit iTunes and search for Mandy Patinkin and his best album is 'Mandy Patinkin Sings Sondheim', which is live and very beautiful. The best pieces of his are 'Pretty Women', 'Johanna', and 'Not While I'm Around', all from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Though, I am VERY biased, seeing as Sweeney Todd is my all-time favourite musical. Enjoy!
