David Morse is great as General George Washington on JOHN ADAMS on HBO! An impressive performance.

I completely agree with the OP, I think his portrayal of Washington was nothing short of amazing!!

The work downstairs requires two hands.

I'm a David Morse fan and still would have found him to be perfectly cast as George Washington. The facial resemblance was unreal. He also had the perfect voice, height, and demeanor associated with Washington. Good job!
