Lol. How IRONIC. She is a hypocrite. She benefited from the industry. She wanted to be famous. If it weren't for the music industry, she would probably be poor now and going "down on men at a theatre".

She loves playing the victim card. Typical rich celebrities! Oh woe is me....

I'd say Jagged Little Pill was one of the biggest selling albums of the 90s.

Surely that’s a matter of opinion. She had released two albums before JLP that did nothing, you don’t go from nothing to releasing one of the biggest albums of the 90s without some people thinking the songs were special.

I think the album brilliantly captures a moment in time and still stands up today. Fully appreciate that it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but don’t you think if its success was all down to marketing that she would have followed it up with something even more successful since she had so much more money to promote a follow up?

"Women make up almost half of the global population yet comprise significantly smaller percentages of key roles in the music business, according to the University of Southern California’s Annenberg Inclusion Initiative.

The 2021 study, jointly funded by music streaming platform Spotify, found that, over the last nine years, just 21.6% of all artists on the Billboard Hot 100’s year-end lists were women. The number was 20.2% in 2020.

A total of 1,797 artists appeared during that time, with 3.6 male artists appearing for every one female.

Female artists were most heavily featured within the genre of pop music, at 32% of charting songs, compared with just 19.6% of charting country songs and 12.3% of charting rap songs."
