had no idea they had a long relationship and that she attempted suicide cause he broke up with her. what a shock!! glad she made it and let him just go on with his life.

She's such a great person.
They did a movie in 1968 together, "The Night of the Following Day". They had a love scene in the movie and Brando had a painting of them together in the love scene hanging in his house. Rita was the one who gave it to him and after his death it was sold for , I think, $46,000.
they just seem incompatible. such different backgrounds. i mean sometimes opposites attract...but for long term..if you're really different, it's gonna die.
