I said it was weird that whilst she's not exactly a supermodel, she has a similar look to Suzy Quatro (in that they both have a suggestive smile/smirk, that has a "come hither" quality) sluttishness, sexiness and beauty are completely different bedfellows. The fact that I don't consider her (or Quatro) to be 'lookers' (but will admit they have a certain 'appeal') is the "weird" to which I'm referring to.
Instead of trying to correct people, perhaps you should look up "weird" in either a dictionary.......or a mirror?
i used to fancy her quite a bit myself. in fact, now that i think of it, i think watching her in 'family' might have provoked one of my first adolescent celebrity crushes.

shareI watched "Family" every week primarily to see Kristy. I found her tomboy persona intriguing. In 1980 when "Little Darlings" was coming out, that was the talk of the schoolyard that she would be appearing in an R-rated movie about girls competing to lose their virginity first. That movie ended up being pretty tame, but it fueled all sorts of speculation among friends who had crushes on Kristy or Tatum O'Neal (beloved especially for Bad News Bears in those days).
shareI wish we had VHS, DVD, or Internet back in 1980 because I for sure would've worn that movie out. Kids today have it so good being able to see and learn everything online related to their celebrity crushes! I also had a huge crush on Julie McCoy (Lauren Tewes) from The Love Boat. I caught a clip on Youtube with Kristy getting boyfriend advice from Julie McCoy. Took my breath away! Oh, and her boyfriend on The Love Boat episode was none other than....Scott Baio!
