Lange: The ONLY Actor in History to...

After doing my research, I have found out some breaking news, and I'm taking all of the credit for it!

- Jessica Lange is the ONLY actor/actress in HISTORY to ever receive a double nomination, within the same year (1982), for both a Comedic (Tootsie) and a Dramatic (Frances) film, then win one (won for her Comedic role in "Tootsie"). If there is ANYONE with the powers that be, PLEASE circulate this news to the Santa Barbara/Kirk Douglas Award Center so she can know of this accomplishment on her honored night :-)

Which Awards are you talking about? If it's Oscar, then off the top of my head, Sigourney Weaver was nominated in the same year for a Lead (Gorillas in the Mist, drama) and Supporting (Working Girl, comedy).

I'm not as up on my Golden Globes trivia, so if that's what you meant, my apologies.
