Who has/had the best voice?
Whitney, Mariah or Celine?
shareI'm not an expert but I love Whitney's voice the most. She can touch my heart with her music. I like Celine too but can't stand Mariah's music
shareI was never a fan of any of them but if I had to pick just one I would go with Celine.
shareFor me, I tend to factor other things into the equation. Mariah wrote her own songs, whereas Whitney did not. Celine has a much nicer, more humble personality...so she wins the likability factor. As far as sheer talent when each was at their best....I may give a slight edge to Celine, especially because she's STILL able to do it at such a high level to this day. That wins her the bonus points to edge the other two. (Plus....if she lip-synchs at all, it seems to be much less than the other two. She's able to perform "live" and still sound quite good).
Celine for me.
However, all 3 are phenomenal talents.

Whitney, she had the best songs too.
shareI remember when I was a kid (back in the early 90s) we used to debate on who had the better voice out for Whitney, Celine and Mariah. We loved them all, but decided that because no one else could sing 'I Will Always Love You' better or the same league as Whitney, she wins hands down. She had amazing hits after hits back then too. All of them are/were incredible though with their own natural unique style. I was very sad when Whitney died. :-(
shareIt would probably be out of Celine and Mariah, but Whitney has the best songs and, sonically, does the most interesting things in her music. Singers can have the most amazing vocals, but if their songs aren't entertaining, they won't be listened to. Celine is incredible, but I can't even remember the last time I heard a song of hers and thought, I'd replay that. Mariah has some hits, but I don't really find many occasions to listen to them, like they're not everyday, play in the car or listen to on a hike songs.
shareWhitney, with Nana Mouskouri 2nd
shareI would say Barbara, Whitney, and Celine tie for first place and Mariah trailing behind.
shareThey may have/had great voices but their material is too ordinary.
I mean compare a great rock vocalist like Chrissie Hynde or Debbie Harry. The material makes a huge difference.
