They're too good for Stephen King stuff. They need to do more original screenwriting these days, not less. And if they do keep adapting novels, they ought to pick things that haven't been done to death already.

Well adapted King has been the basis of films by Stanley Kubrick--The Shining--Brian De Palma--Carrie--John Carpenter--Christine..and David Cronenberg--The Dead Zone. The Coens would be in good company.
