Maybe she wasn't interested in becoming a big star. Not everyone is sweetie. Plus she was well over 18 when she got married and had a kid. Bill Cosby was not her father or her guardian. Maybe just maybe she's content being a mom. From what I have read she spends a lot of time with at risk youth. Perhaps that's more fulfilling then a big Hollywood career.

she was young and everyone makes mistakes, im sure you made mistakes as well, plus she lived the way she wanted to live, she was never interested in all that hollywood glamour..I feel she's very much happy in what she's doing now. She works with young children, she does a lot of charity work, she's a vegetarian, does yoga, in awesome health, shes not strung out on drugs like nicole ritchie and the others that are in that rat race of hollywood

It's not like she had to do it all by herself as a single mom. She gets along with her ex (Kravitz) very well and it's probably a safe bet to say that she's probably pretty well off.

Lisa was very much interested in stardom BUT
on her terms. White Hollywood was
interested in her but she didn't
want to just be in their films and be
the token black.

I love Lisa for that and if she never
does anything else with her career, I
will always admire her for what
she stands for.

They also would have used her and
she would probably be worse off
than she appears to be now.

I'm pretty sure there is going to
be work for Lisa in the future and
she will still become a movie star,
just a late bloomer.

She is still a knock-out and
a very talented actress in my book.

I wish I wasn't white. I wish that I was a black actor so that I could blame "White Hollywood" for ensuring that I--like Lisa Bonet--had crap for talent.
