Did he ever live up to the hype?
Remember when the first Hellraiser was released in theaters? They had old Stevie King pick his head up off his pile of coke for a second to say that Clive Barker was "the future of horror." Did that ever really come to pass? The first two Hellraiser movies were good, but did Clive Barker ever do anything better? Is he a household name? Do young horror writers emulate him? WAS he "the future of horror"?
