Is Meryl Streep Overrated?

Trump made me think about her acting.

Seriously, is she overrated? Can she do it all?

I think she is a better dramatic actress than comedic actress, but that is my opinion; however, she did great in the Devil Wears Prada. I don't think her roles that require singing and dancing are what she does best. I mean, I think Ricki and the Flash and Mamma Mia might've been even better with different actresses. I know she was annoyed that she didn't get the role of Evita, but I just don't think she would've done any better than Madonna.

Still, her dramatic roles are raw emotion, stunning and first rate. Sophie's Choice and Kramer Vs Kramer are where her art shines.

Yes, quite, anyone who has seen Shirley Booth in Come Back Little Sheba or Patricia Neal in Hud, knows that these two , as well as others , would have blown Streep off the stage, off the screen, and off the planet!
