Anyone surprised about his death?

Recently saw him in Inception and then in The Town, and I had no idea he had any illness. I was watching a movie of his today when a friend said he died. If I had not heard it then, I don't think I would have for quite some time.

It was kind of like Leslie Nielson's death.

I know! I saw both of those movies after his death, and had no idea he was gone. I didn't know until the Memoriam section of the Oscars. I'm so sad! He was fantastic actor, in so many roles... but I'll always fondly know him as the priest from Romeo + Juliet.

I was, but again you can't sit all day long at your PC to learn on all those who are about to die... well i can, sitting all day at the PC is part of my job, but still.

Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye.

I had no idea he had passed... that is so sad, I always imagined he would become more and more popular as he got older... such a shame.

I was surprised when I'd heard he'd died, but I remember watching him in the Clash of the Titans reboot and thinking to myself that he didn't look well. Turns out he wasn't. :(

"David Warner, you are under arrest by order of David Warner!"

I didn't know he died until the Oscars either. I was like, "Isn't that Robert's dad?" I had seen him in other stuff, but that was the most recent.

He didn't look too well in The Town either. Almost like the Shadow of his former self.
