Even if perhaps he may not deserve forgiveness and legally, its difficult to imprison on him today.

As it sadly was for many decades ever since he was discovered guilty of the undeniably wrongful act, what I wonder is...

Maybe that doesn't mean we can't say keep an eye on him and say perhaps, we could have done it, meaning that if ever he were to do something like this again or even act suspicious, services can rush at him and have him arrested like that etc? I know its not a perfect measure but still, so it doesn't mean and doesn't look like we, as civilized people, would just give up.

And also, even if that doesn't justify him fleeing, why was the law at the time not honest with him, at first suggesting a few years and then later on a whim changing it to 50 years to life? Why not agree straight away on the sentencing?

And on a lesser note, can you still watch his movies knowing he was guilty? Did he even deserve to live after this even if he still deserved legal punishment?

P.S. Ever wish the law in general and on these matters WAS perfect and say universal? Meaning that, even if an offender was to flee to another country, they could still go out of his way and arrest him there, with it all operating under the banner of desired civilized COMMON SENSE? As opposed to what many people refer to today as the UNFORTUNATE TRAGEDY of a HIGHLY IMPERFECT WORLD WE LIVE IN, and nothing changes no matter how loudly and openly we preach and pray?

I have no problem separating art from artist, so yes I can watch his movies (not that I'm interested in many of them). I don't understand the second point, does he 'deserve to live' - are you saying he should have been executed??
