The only possible good from this sad news is that maybe Americans will finally get SCARED into paying closer attention
to the danger signs of stroke.

I honestly believe that had Perry been obese, or over 60, the "shock" of this wouldn't have hit as hard. But from
all reports, he was very health-conscious, and also was in-shape and had reportedly improved his diet (after a
colon cancer scare).

Here's a statistic I read that truly freaked me out. Anyone over 50 who binge drinks (yes, that includes beer), has
a THIRTY percent greater risk of stroke in the next 72 hours.

I don't believe this has anything to do with Perry, who was not bloated and was very trim. But Americans have a
generally poor diet and booze it up too much. If Perry could suffer this under "normal" circumstances...

Think of it another way: a heart attack is something you'll either survive or won't. A stroke can leave you
without the ability to walk, talk, or understand what someone is saying to you.

Major wake-up call.

Wasn't crazy about 8 seconds. But I encourage you to check out his other works Buffy is an early movie--but it ended up being pivotal bc it launched whole other series.

Good later movie is The Beat beneath my feet. He's a former rocker who 'died' now hiding for tax evasion. mentors outcast kid. What could have ended up either too edgy/sappy has just the right mix.

Happened pre pandemic

I've seen a lot of photos over the last couple of days of Doherty and Perry together. Reminded me of a couple of years back and all the photos of Naya Rivera hanging out with Corey Monteith.

Kinda hard not to think that!
