Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth
I found out that JE and CF were dating when they made pride and prejudice. I can't find ANY information about why they broke up or how serious it was or anything. Was it such a private affair?
shareColin met Meg Tilly when shooting Valmont and stayed with her until about 1993 - they have a son William between them, he then met Jennifer Ehle in 1994 whilst making Pride and Prejudice and I believe they were together until he started shooting Nostromo in the summer of 1995 - he then met Livia whilst shooting Nostromo and married her in June 1997 - they have two sons and are still together.
Jennifer was quoted as saying thank heaven they had split up before Pride and Prejudice was televised in September 1995, otherwise their relationship would have been under a severe spotlight. She was on stage in Stratford at the time and Colin was making The English Patient.
