Do you consider him a good actor

I think he generally is one

reply

THREE WORDS...

JACK THE BEAR

GREAT ACTOR!

reply

Of course! He always plays memorable characters! I'm afraid he's a bit typecast, but you never forget films he's been in.

reply

Totally.

reply

Tin Men, good actor, but mostly a comedic actor.

reply

He was originally considered for the role that Joe Pesci played in Casino.

reply

I don't think DD is strung high enough to pull that off.

reply

He would have been just as good but in a different way. The guy has energy just not quite that level of crazy spite. It wouldn't have come off like a dark comedy. Honestly, Joe in Casino was too much like his performance in Goodfellas. Danny would have been less deranged, but still evil. I can imagine Nicky's final scene with Dominic still being poignant.

reply

You must have a better imagination than I.

reply

Not necessarily so, I'm just basing my opinion on having seen all of his work. I wanted to see what it was that made Scorsese consider him as an option, so I dug deep in his filmography.

reply

He is a short dumpy midget ... not in the least bit threatening. I just can't see it. I love him in the roles he has been in, but as a sub for Pesci ... nope.

reply

He obviously couldn't reach for someone's neck with a pen like Pesci did, but he could go for their stomach or even groin.

reply

Do clowns shit in their shoes?

reply

What?

reply

Of course not. They take them off first.

reply

Pennywise changed the game entirely. He kept his shoes on, while dancing through the sewers and shit of Derry's townsfolk

reply

Yeah, very good.

reply

The way I look at it. He manages to make a great living at this in an industry where looks are typically the key to success.

So yes he is a good actor.
