He plays edgy-yet-tender very well, but I do enjoy his 1980s psycho-villains a lot, too.

I haven't seen The Last Temptation of Christ yet, but I think that Dafoe as Christ is one of the most intriguing casting choices ever made.

That said, when he plays to type, it's pretty awesome, too.He was great as da foe in Spider-Man.
