He didn't murder anybody. He neglected basic firearms safety rules, which resulted in somebody getting killed. He's responsible for the death, but it wasn't a malicious act.

He is also writing a new book, If I did It on Purpose. In it Baldwin talks about a hypothetical situation in which whoever shot the cinematographer that day might have intended to do it and pulled it off IF it wasn't already proven that whoever did do it, didnt do it on purpose. Confusing synopsis in my opinion.
