One of the greatest humans in our lifetime?

Just look at his accomplishments. Burr does a great bit about this and I agree 100%.

Arnold is one of the greatest humans we'll ever witness, along with Tiger Woods.

In his time as governor of California he was a disappointment, but in light of what we have to put up with now (Newscum), he was a fuckin' genius.

reply

No argument there. But becoming Governor is a massive achievement though.

reply

Newsom is fine, Schwarzenegger was just barely more competent than Trump.

reply

Pretty much

If we were discussing this in the early 90's I'd say yes. However, since then his film career quality dropped considerably, he wasn't a very decent Governor, he secretly pardoned a friends son who was involved in a murder, he cheated on his wife, he fathered a child with the unattractive maid, he falsified the child's birth certificate which is conspiracy to falsify a public document.
In short, Arnold Schwarzenegger rose from the ashes of WWII to become one of the most celebrated sports figures/movie stars on the planet. However, in later life his indiscretions, poor decision making, & false lies led him down a path of disgrace, divorce, & humiliation.

He definitely made some mistakes (I can't argue that much of what has been made public of his personal life doesn't look good, but it is what it is, I guess), but I remain impressed that he rose from bodybuilder to become a major Box Office draw (I also believe his acting became better as the years progressed, if maybe the quality of his films declined). I can't speak for his terms as California governor, since I've never lived there, but I like him more than I do Andrew Cuomo:-).

I'm in the camp that believes his later indiscretions have zero baring on his incredible accomplishments. No one is perfect, you can find dirt on anyone.

What does the attractiveness level of the maid have to do with anything. Infidelity is unacceptable no matter what.

reply

You're absolutely right that infidelity is unacceptable..it's just in Arnold's case there's millions of people who look at Arnold in such high esteem they probably would have accepted his cheating if it was a very attractive person. He also cheated on his longtime girlfriend in the 70's, she was devastated when he admitted it to her.

Arnold one of the greatest human's in our lifetime? Not really, more like a hypocritical a serial cheater.
