there are other youth in the same situation who DID resist, regardless of whether it was easy or not.
And Pope Benedict was forced to join, and he escaped and helped others from Nazi atrocities. And you're condemning him for it. My hero.
So since not everyone joined, and even some who joined didn't stay passive but actually RESISTED
And you're talking about 2 dozen, maybe 3 at best, out of how many kids? Yet you're singling this one boy out for being forced into it, then escaping when he had the chance. What a guy.
I do hold the pope (or future pope) to a higher standard than the rest of the world population.
And I'm sure he couldn't do anything to pass any standards you set for him, because those standards would change as soon as he bested them. Liberal "standards" for others are always situational; a moving target.
