He too is now among the privileged. It's not just a white construct. It's a power construct. In a way I feel the whole 'white privileged' buzz word thing has gotten to be over-used. Does every white person use privileged as a fulcrum against others? Do they all have the same level of privileged by default? I don't think so. First off privilege itself isn't a bad thing solely. It is what you do with it. Effective, caring parents want their children to work hard to have the privileged to obtain the best in life?
I work hard as a minority to have privilege to the level I can. Re. what actors say, well if I judged them most on what they say I'd be watching hardly any films. Some of them take their own platform (privilege) before the public too seriously. Or they are following the politically correct tide and want to be shown riding the wave, first. Then you forget your audience when people push back and don't just accept what you say!
