I recall Jodie Foster and friends recently supported him openly right?

Yes Foster has been very public in support of Gibson. There was even a Jewish comedian who was very vocal in defending Gibson.

Big ds9 fan btw, best Star Trek Imo.

"PC Police"? People need to stop using the terms "PC" and "Politically Correct/Incorrect". People who whine about such things these days are the new "PC".

It's definitely a dark place. There are interviews that Mel has given which make me think about why he took a hiatus between Mad Mad 3 and Lethal Weapon.
