For some reason, he really reminds me of Sean Connery. Am I the only one who sees this?

Hello folks. So recently, I re-watched Jackie Brown, Ronin, and Once Upon a Time in America for the first time in years. While re-watching these films, I was reminded of how I have long had the opinion that De Niro has a similar presence/vibe to Sean Connery. It is hard to fully explain the details of it - yet I will attempt to summarize it by mentioning how both actors have that old school "no nonsense vibe" along with maintaining their strong charismatic traits.

Does anybody think this also? Curious to hear your thoughts.

I think young Sean Connery and young James Cagney shared a sadistic curl of the lip and some of the same profile..despite the height difference...the Cagney photo at Moviechat shows it a bit, I think.

Yes, Connery and Cagney do both have a cruelness to their features.

I simply can't even understand how anyone would ever confuse Robert De Niro with Sean Connery!

Funnily enough that has actually happened to my sister many years ago. LOL!
