He didn't age well...

Just saying .

Charlie Sheen looks better than he does today and if Matthew Perry dyed his hair black, he'd look a lot younger.

Question: Why does "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" actor Matthew Broderick appear so aged despite the relative recency of the film?

Broderick’s first film role was in 1983’s Max Dugan Returns. Although he was 20–21 at the time, he played a high school, a role he repeated several times throughout the 1980s due to his youthful appearance. By the time that Ferris Bueller came around, he was an “old hand” at playing teenagers and that unfortunately typecast him and is one of the reasons that his career never got on track.

Broderick remains a youthful looking actor despite his age (He’s 58). However Broderick is also a smoker and had been for decades. While it hasn’t had known deleterious effects upon his health at this point, it’s almost certainly aged him faster and given him a different appearance than he might have had if he didn’t smoke.

Matthew Broderick
Ralph Macchio
Michael J. Fox

Those three are the well-aged, young-looking trio of their generation.

I disagree with this. I find him to still be very handsome 😊

I used to think the same thing too quite a few years ago. But I think he might have lost a few pounds since then because he's actually looking pretty good lately.
