You're missing out. She was a very talented little kid. I probably saw all of her early movies. Heidi and The Little Princess are my favorites. I only watched one of her teen flicks.

Heidi is a great Shirley Temple movie, probably the best that
is not explicitly a Shirley Temple movie vehicle for her, it is her
playing a role, and it is almost cloyingly sweet and cute, but it
is really an excellent classic.

They always felt like manufactured films to try to make a star out of her rather than actually being good movies. Maybe it's because I've never seen any of her films on any "best of" lists.

shareYeah I just don't buy into the hype with her. She was a precious little thing but I can't get into her films. There are very few classics I actually enjoy but none of them are her films 😕
