He sounded like an ass in association with Superman

He has a well known cameo in Superman. He asked for 3 million dollars and 10% profit of the box office gross. Came to around $20 million or so I believe. If you work out inflation (money then to now) its around $80 million or probably more. For. A. Cameo. Scene.

He refused to read the script and had cue cards telling him what to say. He demanded the same amount for the sequel. The producers said they couldn't manage that amount, so demanded they didn't use his cameo scene.

How ungracious though. Adjusted for inflation Chris Reeve got about $1 million for both Superman I and II. Shows how much ego actors get when they hit the big time.
