Looking at this list, I would consider watching 28 Years Later and posdibly F1. That's it. Nearly every film is a derived of a previous film and the ones that aren't don't seem interesting.
Well, I don't see #1 on my list.....
"The Accountant Part 2"
ANtoine Fuqua may be able to do something interesting with the Michael Jackson movie.
PTA is always worth a look, plus I see he has Leo this time.
Hesitant about the SUperman movie. Not a James Gunn fan, plus I guess a bunch of comic book characters are going to be introduced. Oh brother, not again, LOL
That's about it. "The Accountant Part 2" is on top. Part 1 was very good. In fact, it may be underrated. The original cast, plus original brain trust (writer and director) are returning for Part 2. One thinks it will be terrific.
Hmmmmm.. I see some Woke disasters here that are passed their use by date.
I wouldn't call Snow White anticipated, it is getting record thumbs down and people hate Zegler. Her Y2K film has flopped too.
Maybe The Bride and Wolfman for me but I as I hadn't heard of them till I read the article I can't say I anticipated them.
I'll definitely watch the Bong Joon-ho and the PT Anderson.
I may end up watching the Danny Boyle, depending on the reviews.
I might see M3GAN 2.0. I was sufficiently entertained by the first one. But if I do, it'll be when I stumble across it on Netflix and don't have the mental energy to watch anything actually decent.
But my most anticipated films are not on the Variety list. Julia Ducournau's Alpha. On Land and Sea by Hlynur Pálmason. Agnieszka Holland's Franz Kafka film. Park Chan-wook's No Other Choice. And Lynne Ramsay's Die, My Love.
And I'm sure 2025 will have plenty of other goodies I don't know anything about yet.
Man, as you know 2024 was a solid year for me. Looks like I won’t be able to say the same for 2025. Unless there are more horror movies not mentioned here the ones that caught my interest are:
