Well, sorry, it has to be a 1 and 1.
There have been a ton of start and stops. Two movies I watched in November I thought were terrific.
First one, I'd never seen it before:
"Path to War"
Second one, I did see it about 15 years ago - liked it even better this time:
"Les Miserables"
This would be the 1998 version with Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush. Outstanding! Fantastic acting. Great story. Perfectly cast. Good soundtrack, too. Very well done.
1. All is Bright- it's okay.
2. Chappie- pretty fun
3. Asterix and Obelix vs. Cesar- not bad.
I did more rewatches than first times this month, so here we go.
A Quiet Place in the Country (1968) Italian psychological thriller here starring Franco Nero, my favorite actor and his later wife, Vanessa Redgrave. 7.5/10
The Last Horror Film (1982) Horror / stalker movie starring the great Joe Spinell. Lots of interesting footage of the Cannes Film Festival shot without permits, and a great ending. 7/10
The Demoniacs (1974) Jean Rollin directs this dreamy, supernatural pirate drama with really cool locations. Must see for Rollin fans but I more enjoy his later “fantastique” films. 7/10
1. The Beast (2024)
2. All We Imagine as Light (2024)
3. The Story of Temple Drake (1933)
SATURDAY NIGHT 9/10
NO ONE WILL SAVE YOU 8/10
YOUR MONSTER 7.5/10
