J.C.'S Vampires

Tonight's horror western: John Carpenter's Vampires.

Great Cast, twangy music, great improv, and Daniel Baldwin, the best acting Baldwin in my opinion.

It's the one 90's Carpenter's flick that made money.

James Woods had a deal with John Carpenter where he'd do the scene to the script and then reshoot it with improve. Carpenter loved it.

Big bonus on Sheryl Lee's bed scene.

Yeah, I liked that movie. Have seen it a couple of times. I'm presently doing yet another rewatch of From Hell. I like Johnny Depp in this.

I LOVE PARTS OF THAT MOVIE....I HAVE ISSUES WITH OTHER PARTS....OVERALL I ENJOY IT THOUGH.

I always admired James Woods, he had a hell of a career. It’s too bad that his opinions didn’t line up with the Hollywood elite that eventually blacklisted him. He spoke his mind and agree or disagree that took courage.

Shame on the hive-think cowards that wrecked the guys chances at getting a role here and there.
He was a fine actor.

He spoke his mind, that’s what we all should do.

I WOULD LOVE THE FILM MORE HAD THEY NOT....MURDERED THE ENTIRE FUCKING COOL VAMPIRE SLAYING TEAM 15 MINUTES INTO THE MOVIE.

I like that aspect. It reduced crow's support, let Montoya shine, and introduced the new and inexperienced Padre. That dude became badass by the end.

I CAN'T ARGUE THOSE POINTS....I ALWAYS FELT LIKE IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER THOUGH...AND THAT PLOT ELEMENT ALWAYS BOTHERED ME.

I'll have to read the novel. I never got around to it. It gets more into the finances behind the crusaders.

VAMPIRE$

YEAH...I SHOULD READ IT TOO.

Good movie, 7/10 from me, although not Carpenter's greatest work.

JC? Carpenter? Hmmm...So he has come back! Pretty sneaky.

😉

The only thing I wish was different about it was it's budget. I would have like more Vampire slaying actions at the end which they didn't show. Mean, Nasty, and deeply nihilistic.
