What is a movie that you would like to see in a theatre again, or one that you didn't get to see but would like to?

reply

I'd love to see, among other titles: The City Girl (1984), Tron Legacy (2010), and Babylon (2022).

Great suggestions. Thanks.

Black Hawk Down
Platoon
Saving Private Ryan
The Thin Red Line

Those are some of my favourite movies and I didn't see any of them in the theater, but would love to.

Rewatches: -
Back to the Future
Independence Day
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Xanadu

Ones that got away: -
2001
A Fist Full of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

reply

One of these is not like the others.

I have eclectic tastes - what can I say?

reply

It's a good list, but Xanadu came out of left field.

The soundtrack features my favourite band of all time, so hearing those songs in Dolby surroundsound - Boom!

Plus some of the visuals are frenetic, which lends itself to the big screen. Also, fantasy is not so far removed from the other genres.

reply

Aren't you a fan of Logan's Run? That could be interesting in the big screen.

reply

I haven’t seen it since it was released! I shall introduce Miss King to it soon.

reply

Tron: Legacy. I have the bluray but man do I wish I got to experience it on the big screen.

reply

Pertaining to your second question....Too many

Original Star Wars Trilogy
The Matrix
Batman (1989)
2001 A Space Odyssey

and many more...

reply

Some other ones that came to mind:

Blade Runner
Die Hard
Halloween
Robocop
The Wizard of Oz

I would love to see Alien 1979 on the big screen.

I was 12 when Alien came out. My parents wouldn't let me see it.

Firstly, i’m like bloodshot and only go to the theatre for the Saw movies. A few exceptions being family movies with my kids.

Secondly, You guys are lucky cause I’m not aware of any theatre around me that plays old movies, only new releases.

Thirdly, if I can make one “left field” recommendation, it would be the German horror movie Cuckoo.
