Do you stay home when it gets too hot outside?
I just stay home and enjoy the A/C. I hate heat. Can't wait until September.

Oh buddy, I’m so entirely sick of everyone and everything I am happy to stay at home…5 degrees or 90 degrees, I’m sick of this whole planet.
On my days off work I just drive out for beers and smokes. I’m quite happy to be alone.
I feel sorry for you. What has driven you to hate everything? I am not mocking. I am asking a serious question.
shareTraffic, parking, a long career in a crowded and violent city…four years until retirement and I can be in my garden with my family and the dog.
PS: thanks but don’t worry about me at all, a proper plan is in place👍
Not a problem. It's just when I hear someone vent as extremely as you did, I worry a bit. I knew a guy who got like that and eventually ended up jumping in front of cars on a highway.
shareThanks. And sorry about your pal, that is awful.
All is well, I’m just being honest which appears to be unpopular around here these days. Anyway, I’ll just speak my mind. Be well.
Same. I work with the public 5 days a week, and it's loud and tiring!
I try and get all jobs done on one day off, and then I like to just take myself off into nature on the other day and just switch off.
I need alone time.
I have a similar job. A hundred children and grown-ups coming to you for help EVERY DAY!
You always need an answer. Sometimes you really struggle to find an answer, sometimes you patch one together.
Best of luck at your job.
We will handle it fine✌️
I don't have AC in my car. If I go anywhere this time of year I just sweat to death in a steel bucket. Actually got heat stroke the other day driving to Walmart. Had a wicked gross round of dry heaves in the parking lot. Probably looked like a lunatic. Been a hundred degrees every damn day for weeks now.
shareGatorade can help, cold water too.
I think multivitamins might be useful, just not too many.
I live in central Florida and I pretty much stay inside with the AC set to 70F.
shareYes, as much as possible, and I try to get whatever needs to be done before noon. The apparent high here for today with the heat index was 112F. I must be getting acclimated again since this heat wave didn't even make me half as uncomfortable as the previous one. Haven't even resorted to a cold shower yet and probably won't since there's only about 2 hours of sunlight left. Just been relying on a single box fan on its lowest setting, occasional large glasses of ice water and also my freezer chilled beer.
shareMy favorite thing to do is find a movie theater with the AC cranked way, way up.
Honorable mentions:
* bike near water where it's breezy and cool
* go on a small boat where I'm guaranteed to get wet.
If possible but you gotta life you life.
It it's hot and you have things to do, they won't do themselves.
I got plenty of Sun today mowing my brother's yard while he recovers from heart surgery and it was 95 degrees
shareSorry about your bro.
Doctors and RNs are extremely smart now. Best wishes to him, he’s likely in very good hands now.
Thank you. Yeah, he's doing alright, although he's pretty much a recluse and he never comes out when I'm mowing his lawn, but truth be told, we also don't get along and had a blow up before our Mom passed away and he does hold grudges so there's that
shareOh, I get it. Sorry.
Depending upon your nature a grudge can hurt you OR keep you alive. I know a lot about grudges.
