Very small minority. I think "Mr. Spock" was correct and humans are basically over-emotional, insecure and irrational creatures which feed into irrational, self-defeating and dangerous behavior to themselves and others.
Why did Charles Manson, Hitler and Mussolini have devout followers? Why do people join cults? Why are there FlatEarthers? Why are there alcoholics and drug addicts? Why do husbands beat their wives? Why do adults abuse children? Why are there bullies? Why do diets fail? Why are there poor and homeless? Why do people give up?
