I just watched a movie with Ethan Hawke and Phillip Seymour Hoffman titled "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" where they both play brothers with financial problems and plan a heist robbing their parent's Jewlery Store and things go awry and not according to plan.. Much of the movie is told backwards in segments to tell the story, but it's effective.. I'd give him based on this movie a 9 out of 10

I saw that film when it first came out. I remember liking it. Generally I think Ethan Hawke is always solid.

Looking back on it, it's a very good movie, but depressing pretty much for everyone

I don't remember much, but all I remember was that the performances were pretty solid and Marisa Tomei was nude for no reason.
