Ever been to a school reunion

What was it like.

reply

Nope. My class didn't send me an invitation. Apparently only 20 people showed up. I've only seen about 6 former classmates since high school and we have nothing in common.

If you are going to go, hopefully you still have active friendships from that time. My wife and I don't, so it really isn't appealing.

reply

SAME...NO INVITES...A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE PRETENDED THEY WERE HAVING A REUNION.

AND QUITE FRANKLY ALL THE PEOPLE I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN SEEING ARE DEAD OR WOULDN'T ATTEND ANYWAY.

reply

Half of my friends are in prison. The other half did as I did and moved out of town to build our lives. Those are the few I've seen since high school and we have little in common aside from having been at the same school and not wanting anything to do with our old town.

reply

No invite for me either. That whole thing is run by the same cool kid cliques that ran the school back in the day. I'm not welcome, never was.

reply

Nope. I was out of the country for both my 10 and 20. Honestly I don't think I would go if they do something for our 30th, as everyone that I still wanted to be friends with I am, and I still see them.

reply

I hated high school, so no.

reply

I'm not sure I'd be invited to one since I never technically graduated high school.

reply

Are high school reunions outdated? They don’t seems necessary in a social media world, since people don’t really lose touch anymore.

reply

Everybody was the same aside from being bald and fat.

reply

No, not worth flying back to a place I left long ago to see people I hardly know anymore. The college homecoming weekend was nice but sadly no one I knew well was there. They put out a nice spread at a tailgate party then asked us for bigger donations. Cool 🙄

reply

Nope. Graduated from a continuation high school in '82, but I don't think I ever got any invitations.

My graduating class was small (probably 20 or less), and when ever you reached the required credits, they would call an assembly to congratulate you (I reached my required credits in March or April that year), & then at the end of the school year they would hold a formal graduation ceramony for all of us.

I did receive an invitation for a reunion of former students about 30 years ago that I didn't attend. Haven't seen any of my classmates in decades.
