I didn't pick up any dental insurance when I retired because my dentist is my husband's nephew, so I get the friendly family price. I had insurance when I worked but most dental plans are crap.
shareMy biannual dental exams are covered by insurance and cost nothing. However, if additional work is needed such as fillings or crowns, I have to pay out of pocket. Insurance pays for the routine exams only.
