How much on average does a visit to the dentist run you

I've never paid for a dental visit in my life. God bless the NHS.

What's a dentist?

Signed, million man.

My body is my dentist. When my rotten tooth is ready to come out, it will expel itself naturally. Until then, I avoid hot and colds and chew on the other side of my mouth.

Working adults still have to pay on NHS dental care. A routine check up with scale and polish is £25.

I didn't pick up any dental insurance when I retired because my dentist is my husband's nephew, so I get the friendly family price. I had insurance when I worked but most dental plans are crap.

My biannual dental exams are covered by insurance and cost nothing. However, if additional work is needed such as fillings or crowns, I have to pay out of pocket. Insurance pays for the routine exams only.

I'm on Universal Credit and I had to pay £100 last time I went to the dentist for a filling.
