Who should play the next Bond
Tom Hardy.
shareI feel like the next Bond should be a younger English guy.
I quite like Tom Hardy, he’s certainly got the tough guy act down, he seems like a dangerous guy in his roles. He’s terrific as a tough man.
But he’s mid 40s, I feel like a new Bond should be a lot younger.
Jason Momoa.
shareNo, he lacks the look. Mamoa is too beefcake. You’ll need a smallish, unrecognizable man to do killings.
Bond is an assassin, he can’t stick out in a crowd.
You need a guy that can get inside, pull the trigger with a small calibre handgun twice behind the ear and disappear into a crowd.
That’s Bond’s job. Forget all of these silly movie stunts. He was just a murderer.
He never killed anybody that didn’t have it coming.
Real pro!

IRL, absolutely. I don't see Eon going that way though!
Someone with decorum and quiet prescience too. Mamoa is too in your face.
sharegood question I think someone who can run faster than a speeding bullet and carries an umbrella
shareI don't care as long as he is a bad ass. I think it would be fun to do retro movies and have them set in the 50's when the books were first written.
shareAgree on both of your points. I have wished they would do 50s setting Bond movies, and starting that with Casino Royale would've been perfect.
shareHenry Cavill is my number one pick followed by Aidan Turner and Luke Evans. I don't think James Bond has to be a young guy but a sixty-year-old Bond might be too old.

Zendaya is the only fair choice.
shareIt's too bad that Hardy is too old, he's 45 and looks it, and they'll want to hire an actor who will look like he's in his prime for the next 15 years.
My pick has been Aiden Turner, and he just might squeak in under the wire, he's 40 now, but it'll be a couple of years before they make the next Bond film so he might have missed his chance .
Aidan Turner was my overwhelming choice too when he was playing Poldark. There was an episode in season 1 of Poldark that proved to me he would make an amazing Bond. He manhandled a guy after he caught him cheating at cards. I can't find the clip on YouTube anymore though.
However, my feelings about him being Bond have cooled due to the age thing you mention as well as he seems happy to accept small, quirky roles. He seems thoroughly uncomfortable based on interviews with the attention that Poldark brought him. Bond would be that much attention times a thousand.
