That silver colored fish was probably a Lake Trout, but they like very deep water in general, I don’t know how deep your lake is. I’ve caught some big Lakers a hundred and twenty feet down with a six foot fiberglass Ugly Stik and a Mitchell spinning reel….eight pound monofilament line will do for them as long as you have your drag adjusted just right.
Japanese hooks tend to be superior.

A big goddamn net helps!

The Bullhead Cats go for worms and canned corn, sweeten the lake with some chum and you’ll be in for a nice Catfish fry👍

Cool video.

You're like a pro fisherman! I actually threw some leaves in the water and they thought it was food and they swam right up to me. I could have tried to grab them with my hands they were so close. No one is allowed to catch fish there so I think that's why there are so many fishes near the surface of the water.

Sandals weather. Nice.

I was self-conscious about showing off my toes. I got on some cheap rubber slippers that's around 7 dollars. :)

reply

I see you're expanding from the avian to the ichthyic.

reply

I had to google ichthyic.

reply

Me too.
:)

Tranquil.

Next time bring a handful of dog food and a cast net.

reply

No one's allowed to catch anything there. I figure that's why I can get so close to the fishes.

reply

Looks serene, does that area get much foot traffic?

reply

Hardly anyone goes there. I'd imagine it would be more busy if people could fish there, but fishing isn't allowed.

reply

That's perfect, means you get it all to yourself. How nice.

reply

Beautiful lake and fish.
