I love mine. It's very fast cooking. One frozen chicken breast, cooked in about 10 minutes. The heat goes off when the timer is done, so no worries about forgetting to turn off the oven.
Hated the air fryer since it was invented, talked crap about them my whole life. Then some insidious family member got me one for christmas. I didn't even open it for a year. I finally played around with it as a goof. Got terrible results and felt pretty vindicated in my thinking. But since it was on the counter I kept fiddling with it and the thing about air fryers is you gotta learn how to use them right. It's not a vat of hot oil you just toss food into. You can't just hit the default button and off to the races. Anyhow, I love my air fryer and literally use it every day. It really won me over in a big way and i've actually grown to prefer it in most instances. But there's a handful of things it simply can't do as well as conventional frying. For example, it's garbage for breaded okra. It sucks for thick potato products like steak fries. They are especially excellent for those that live in small apartments with few appliances and who don't want to stink the hell out of the place.
My air fryer does steak fries like a master chef. I'm constantly doing steak fries in my air fryer. I love to season them with Lawry's Seasoned Salt and a little garlic powder. I also coat them in avocado oil first.
